Scott DePerro, Chairman
Scott DePerro earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Kent State University in 1979. Immediately following graduation, Scott teamed with his brother Jeff DePerro to found Aim Executive Inc., which developed into an industry-leading national human resources consulting firm that was a pioneer in integrated human resource services. The DePerros grew the organization rapidly through acquisitions and strong organic growth, being named to the Inc. 500 listing of fastest growing privately held companies in America for four consecutive years and to the Case Western Reserve Weatherhead School’s prestigious outstanding growth companies in Northeast Ohio listing for three years. The DePerros, as Co-CEOs, were actively involved in strategy, financial management, hands-on operations, sales management, quality systems, team building, leveraging technology, and acquisitions and divestitures.
Spherion acquired Aim Executive and all of its Divisions in 1997, and the DePerros remained as business leaders of this Fortune 500 global human capital management firm. As Division President, Scott DePerro ran the Human Capital Consulting Division, which included Career Transition Services. Through an international partnership, they quickly became the fourth largest Career Transition/Outplacement firm worldwide. The Career Transition business also became the first Outplacement firm in the United States to receive an ISO 9001 Quality Certification.
As principal investors and consultants, the DePerros helped former executive Kim Davis found TalentTrack, which became a leading Recruitment Processing Outsourcing (RPO) provider, receiving numerous industry awards for service delivery excellence and high customer satisfaction. TalentTrack was sold to Adecco, a Fortune Global 500 company and the world’s leading provider of HR services in 2007. The Adecco Group (Adecco S.A.) is registered in Switzerland (ISIN: CH001213860) and listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange. Kim Davis stayed as SVP leading North America RPO, helping the organization become a worldwide leader in workforce solutions. Kim joined CareerCurve as a partner in January of 2012 to help support growth initiatives and lead CareerCurve’s Returning Veteran Programs.
In 2004, the DePerros founded CareerCurve, which updated an existing model in Career Transition. With an experienced leadership team led by CEO Pattie Wagoner, another former executive, CareerCurve has grown rapidly, already receiving several awards and recognition for outstanding revenue and employee growth. In August of 2012, CareerCurve completed its first acquisition that helped to establish a worldwide delivery capability supplementing North America.
Patricia L. Wagoner, CEO
Patricia Wagoner earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and is a Certified Personnel Consultant. She received her MS Degree in Positive Organizational Development from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management. Patricia was recognized with the Dean’s Academic Achievement Award from Case Western Reserve University and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. She has also received a certificate in Developing Leadership through Emotional Intelligence. Her extensive understanding of leadership, operations, sales, and marketing comes from 30 years of business experience as an executive in both the public and private sectors. Wagoner is a contributing member of the board of directors for the Employers’ Resource Council, serving as board chair in 2002. She is heavily involved in her community, participating energetically in numerous service activities including volunteering for Hospice. Her executive background and vast consulting, recruiting, and search experience allow her to help client organizations in identifying business issues as they relate to human capital needs, emphasizing quality and value.
Shawn Cavanaugh, President & COO
Shawn joined CareerCurve in 2014 as President to focus on initiatives central to the business’s growth strategy. He was promoted to President and COO in June 2016. Shawn has proven his leadership abilities within the professional community and employment industry for over two decades before assuming the role as President of CareerCurve.
An Orlando, FL native, Shawn proudly served in the United States Marine Corp, where his leadership skills and abilities led him to receive several meritorious recognitions and he became one of the youngest Quality Inspectors in his Squadron’s history. Following his service, Shawn was selected to be one of twenty students chosen Nationwide to enter the first college-level Electronics Training Apprenticeship Program (ETAP) in the US, recognized by the White House, with Siemens Stromberg-Carlson. After successfully completing the program and a rewarding tenure with Siemens, Shawn was sought out by a regional staffing company, which launched his career in the employment industry.
Throughout the next 20 years, Shawn closely worked with numerous Fortune 500-1000 companies and held positions such as Director of Corporate Accounts, Vice President Business Development Consultant, Market Vice President, and Strategic Vice President where he managed national service delivery, executive relationships, and drove top-line revenue growth. Impacting the “bottom line” for his clients comes from vast experiences in personnel management, sales and operations leadership, executive relationships management and mentoring. Shawn’s passion and commitment in assisting companies with organizational strategies and personal development are proven in his unprecedented success within the employment sector.

Caren O’Donnell, Vice President Coaching and Quality
Caren O’Donnell holds a bachelor’s degree in retail management and fashion merchandising from Bowling Green State University and is an MBTI certified practitioner. She began her career in retail management quickly moving to management training and development. From there, O’Donnell honed her skills in human resources and career coaching skills at companies as varied as industrial manufacturers to large hotels. She brought her skills and experience to CareerCurve in 2007 as a senior career coach and quickly established herself as a skilled mentor and problem solver. Now she works with the company’s nearly 100 career coaches to ensure its innovative services are conveyed consistently, efficiently and at a level of quality that exceeds the rest of the marketplace.
Kristine Ruhe, Vice President Operations
Kris Ruhe received her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Ohio University. With more than 15 years of experience in operations, project management, client services, and administration, her career has been focused on the service industries including not-for-profit, financial and human resources. In her role at CareerCurve she develops integrated solutions to meet the custom needs of client organizations and career transition candidates. Ruhe is active in event planning and fundraising efforts for local educational and charitable organizations.
Diana Snider, Vice President Marketing
Diana Snider holds dual degrees in Social Work and Business Administration and is a Certified Master Coach. She has served as a board member for numerous organizations including SHRM, SME, the John F. Kennedy School of Government Women’s Leadership Board, The Girl Scouts of North East Ohio and Sias International University Foundation Board, Xinzhen China. Her more than 26 years of marketing, business development, and general management experience in the staffing, recruiting, and workforce management industry provider her with a deep and diverse perspective in the area of talent acquisition and workforce optimization.
